New York, NY – April 24, 2019 – Becker is pleased to announce that Paul H. Shur has joined the Corporate Practice as a Shareholder in the firm’s New York, NY; Redbank, NJ; and Naples, FL offices. He will focus on the representation of banks, institutional lenders, secondary financing sources and commercial and financial transactions as well as related litigation enforcing and defending creditors’ rights.
Mr. Shur has over 30 years of experience representing a broad array of clients in secured lending, asset based lending, commercial finance, debt restructuring, sales and lease transactions, negotiable instruments, letters of credit, documents of title, real estate secured transactions and title insurance defense.

He is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Commercial Finance Attorneys and serves as Education Chair to the New Jersey and New York Chapters of the Commercial Finance Association. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Institute of Credit, New Jersey Turnaround Management Association, and as Board Member Emeritus and Chair of the Banking Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Mr. Shur is the recipient of some of the top accolades in the industry, including being ranked by Chambers USA. He has been included in Best Lawyers in America since 2007 and was named the Banking and Finance Law 2017 “Lawyer of the Year” in New York City and the 2018 “Lawyer of the Year” in New Jersey. He has also been on the New York and New Jersey Super Lawyers lists since 2009.
