Becker Named Among Top Asia-related SPAC Legal Advisers of 2020-21

Becker is proud to announce that the firm has been named among the top five legal advisers to Asia-related SPAC issuers by Asia Business Law Journal. This league table measured deal volume of SPAC IPOs completed between July 2020 and June 2021, and evaluated general legal practitioners and legal advisers to issuers and underwriters, as well as offshore legal advisers.

“We are honored to appear on such a prestigious list and delighted to see our SPAC-focused lawyers recognized for the exemplary service they provide to Becker clients worldwide,” said Victor DiGioia, Managing Shareholder of Becker’s New York office. “This agile team has a unique blend of legal, financial, and cultural expertise that enables them to anticipate complex cross-border concerns, identify the optimal path forward for that particular SPAC, and then streamline the entire evolutionary process in such a way that it is painless to proceed.”

Notably, Becker’s SPAC team represented GreenVision in its $300M business combination with Helbiz, Inc., and guided Golden Path Acquisitions Corporation through its nearly $58M IPO. In early 2021, the group was the advisor of choice for the Venus Acquisition Corporation during its $46M IPO and subsequently selected to represent them through a multi-million dollar merger over the following summer. Currently, the team has been entrusted with Venus’ $400M acquisition of Viyi Algorithm Inc. and Golden Path’s $450M acquisition of MC Hologram Inc.
