The Senate is in session this week through Wednesday after which lawmakers will break for the Juneteenth recess. House members are spending the week in their districts for a district work period, but will return next week along with the Senate.

This week, Senators will receive a security briefing while key committees will begin their consideration of the Chamber’s reconciliation bill – the text of which is expected to be released today. Any changes made by the Senate would need to be ratified by the House before heading to the President’s desk.
